New website / New newsletter!
Welcome to the first electronic newsletter from JRA, one of a number of exciting new features included on our recently launched website! www.johnrobertson.co.nz has been completely redesigned to offer ready access for our clients to information, resources and news. A special feature of the new site is our Forum, where you can go to discuss issues or questions you may have about your survey, process, or follow-up initiatives. You can be certain that the issues YOU are grappling with WILL have been encountered by others – use the Forum to share experiences, and learn in the process. unlimited Best Places to Work Survey
Most of the 158 organisations signed up to UBPTW 2004 have now started their survey – if you haven’t started yet, a friendly reminder that you have JUST 2 WEEKS LEFT. We have extended the deadline for the survey to close of business on Friday 1 October – after this time you will no longer be able to submit online responses. We will be completing hard copy data entry over the following week.
Eligibility for the “unlimited Best Places to Work” Awards
Just a reminder – to be eligible for selection as a ‘Top 20’ place to work you must satisfy two criteria:
1. Your organisation must have AT LEAST 30 respondents to the survey
2. You must achieve a response rate of AT LEAST 60%

HR Policies & Practices Review
As part of the unlimited Best Places to Work 2004 process, we collect information from each participating organisation to provide us with a more in-depth understanding of your HR practices and policies. By combining this information with the data collected via the employee survey process itself we are able to explore in detail the characteristics of our ‘Top 20’ organisation, and compare and contrast the policies and practices of this group with ‘the rest’. We will be sending out an email to you with a link to this questionnaire later today, and would ask that you COMPLETE THIS BY FRIDAY 1 OCTOBER. This email will also include a separate link to a second, shorter survey seeking information on your current training and development practices.
