Each year, the unlimited/JRA Best Places to Work Survey reveals the top organisations to work for in New Zealand. In 2008, 217 organisations participated in the survey, with the following organisations being rated the Best Places to Work in New Zealand – by their employees.

Congratulations to Southern Cross Travel Insurance, the Overall Winner (and small workplace category winner) of the 2008 survey. Other category winners were Flight Centre (NZ) (large workplace), Mars New Zealand (medium-large workplace), and the Outward Bound Trust of New Zealand (small-medium workplace) .
Many organisations participate in the Best Places to Work Survey on an annual basis. The following organisations were recognised for having the greatest improvement in their overall score from 2007 to 2008: Livestock Improvement Corporation (large workplace category), Metrowater (medium-large workplace category), the Hospitality Standards Institute (small-medium workplace category), and Oasis Engineering (small workplace category).
Finally, congratulations to the two organisations picking up our two Highly Commended awards for initiatives designed to improve employee engagement: Northpower (private sector category) and Waitakere Enterprise (public sector category).
